Rules
Big Rules:
1. Be active! We want this to be fun! There is no mandatory of anything. Do as many threads and as many journals as you want, but you MUST do something! That means don't always just do one thread with the same person, and don't make all your journals private. We get not all characters are journal talkers, so then maybe do more threads. Be in other people's journals as well! Don't just expect them to come to yours! Two months of low activity levels will get you or one character kicked out of the game.
2. No Mary Sues or Gary Stues.
3. No drama llamas. The only drama allowed here is character drama and assorted fun things we throw at you. Also, please don't take a mean character personally OR use cruel characters to purposefully offend people! This will lead to drama llamas.Any real problems that you can not work out should be brought to the mods.
4. There is a cap on characters and types.
5. NO stylized icons, like you might see at Livejournal or on personal journals. Creative cutting and some simple photoshopping is acceptable, but abstract colors and stamps distract from the face and/or emotion you're looking to show with that icon. This also means that your icons should be as close to 100x100 as possible. On this note, animated icons are only acceptable in the OCC. If you can't find icons of your person, you can ask the comm to make icons for you or go to the useful links post.
6. The limit is five characters and the only wait on picking up characters is you have done one completed thread and journal and you will be limited characters based on activity, so keep it up! However if you pick up two characters of the same gender, then your third character must be of the opposite gender.
7. You're only permitted one month long hiatus during a period of six month.
Posting Rules
1. All threads or logs should be posted with the following heading:

When: That's all you need. If it's backdated, make sure to note that and add the actual date!
What:
2. Threads over 3 paragraphs must have and lj-cut. {Song lyrics, book, or movie quotes aren't proper cut titles.} All logs must have cuts over everything.
3. Tag all threads with the names of the students involved as well as the month and year. Mods will memory threads to the mod account when time allows.
4. Alone threads are acceptable threads, but don't let it become a habit, group threads are awesome and open threads are love!
5. Make sure your journals are in your character's journal, threads are in the RPG community (![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif)
hohum), your out-of-character posts in the OOC (crynhoi_occ), Owls and notes go in the Owl community (crynhoi_owls).
6. Language: No one is going to get on your ass if you say cookies and not biscuits. Remember that this game takes place in the 90's and no one was anyone's dawg fo' rizzle my shizzle. No one listened to Panic! at the Disco and such because they did not exist. Be intelligent when you post or comment. No typing lIkE tHiS or using l337. Use proper grammar, spell check, and try to remember that these are British kids in Hogwarts. Use the Lexicon as well as British slang sites for assistance.
PB Rules
1. Other than trying to make them look age appropriate try to make sure their age fits in well with the other people in that year. A character with a PB like Zac Efron would not be in the same grade level as a PB of Milo Ventimiglia.
2. We will NOT be accepting pbs of one race used for another. Period.
3. It should be noted we as a game will be jumping three years into the future in Sept. 2009. It'd be best to choose a pb that currently can match their age and then can match their three year jump age.

Scene Queens (Suicide Girls, Myspace girls, ect.)
Porn stars
Visual Kei
Politicians (Royalty is acceptable on a pb by pb review!)
Prominent pop stars (exceptions will be made)
