Plot
Premise
This game is an AU Harry Potter Deathly Hallows game. We are DH compliant to a degree. We also establishing more, such as the London school and other future events. There will be some inconsistencies which we are adding intentionally. We are friendly to all races, sexes, sexualities, and bloods. Please, just do not be unrealistic about it. Past events, both book!canon and game!canon can be found at the timeline.
Plot
Voldemort is defeated. As far as anyone (excluding Hagrid, Neville, McGonagall, and Shacklebolt) knows, Harry is missing and assumed dead. The whole British wizarding world is working on fixing the damage. The Muggles have noticed very little difference luckily. Several students were lost along the way and Hogwarts was all but destroyed. Come September, all students will be attending Sangster Institution, a newly established school created to replace Hogwarts at least temporary.
The Ministry is reestablishing as well. In a quick election with only one name on the ballot, Kingley Shacklebolt was elected the new Minister of Magic. He's been working closely with Hogwarts staff to make the transfer as smooth as possible. The holes left in the Ministry were filled easily by loyal supports of Kingsley and many Muggleborns that might have been previously dismissed. Many Ministry workers that were in training positions were upgraded to full status, like Aururs, Obliviators, and others that may have gained field experience during the coup.
Past Plot
Before May 2nd, 1998
It's the nearing spring and Harry Potter should be attending his seventh and final year at Hogwarts. Unfortunately, this is not the case. As far as anyone at the school knows, he is missing. Rumours fly every day about him and Muggle born students that weren't allowed back either. The fact that his two friends are missing as well could mean anything, considering Hermione Granger is a Muggleborn and Ron Weasley is said to be at home with dragon pox. Life continues on at Hogwarts, however, though not as peaceful as previous years. The Carrows leave many students in fear of their futures and insist on painful punishments. Headmaster Snape doesn't seem much help at all and the other professors can only do so much. In January, Halfblood students were forced to start wearing large H badges, having already been separated from the Purebloods in classes, at meals, and even on the carts up to school. The punishment for disobeying any of these orders is severe.
On the up side, a group is forming, throwing around Harry and Dumbledore's names proudly. A group others might have heard about during Harry's own fifth year. Led by Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood and Ginny Weasley, Dumbledore's Army is recruiting and doing their best to stick it to the Carrows. However, Luna Lovegood was picked off the train at the start of winter break and has not returned to the school. till, the group forges on, planning and waiting. Also in the favour of good is Potterwatch, hosted by the illusive but familiar River with constant updates as long as you know the right word and keep it under your hat. Updates on the real news that's being censored, updates on deaths and any truths behind those that can be provided, how the Muggle world is handling things, updates on Harry Potter's mission, and any news of the "Chief Death Eater" himself. No one at Hogwarts technically knows who River, Royal, and Romulus are and most guesses are kept quiet.
Around Britain, Muggleborns of all ages were being called in for examination and trials down at the Ministry. Not even their own employees were exempt to this treatment. Quietly, as best they could, Muggleborn children were picked up by the Order of the Phoenix and brought to a hidden building in London for safety as well as continued schooling. With other matters to attend to, this establishment was left in the capable hands of Ted Tonks for the most part and whatever other adults needed hiding. Order Members and friendly graduates assist in teaching and maintaining order. Schooling is more theory than practical. The staff and Order members try to bring in touches from home, bringing the outdoors inside, a Christmas tree for the holidays. However, magic must never be used outside of classes and there are Death Eater raids all over town. As the kids' magical journals go, they've been hexed by the Aurors at the London school and are to be additionally hexed so that any ranting can not be seen by others with journals. The staff will be watching.
